The Art Department is a visually exciting environment where students engage in the creative development of ideas and use of materials. The acquisition of recording skills and engagement with the creative practice of artists, designers, craftspersons and cultures is an integral part of student development. The Art Department is situated within two practical classrooms and a third with computer facilities. Currently, the primary art and design based disciplines covered include Fine Art, both two and three dimensional work, and Photography. Photography has been a recent development, being taught as a separate discipline at sixth form level.
